Preparing a Submission or Presentation

The Electoral Boundaries Commission welcomes input from all Albertans about the boundaries and names of the electoral divisions. The commission will be particularly interested in your advice on any places where you think the existing boundaries

  • slice up natural communities of interest
  • don't respect natural boundaries, like rivers
  • include areas which have little in common

and your suggestions on how these or other concerns regarding the boundaries might be corrected.

How can I provide input?

Presentation at public hearing

A public hearing is your opportunity to speak to the members of the Commission directly. Anyone wishing to make an oral presentation at a public hearing should register the week prior to the public hearing. Space permitting, registration will guarantee individuals a time to make an oral presentation to the Commission. Those who have not registered will be allowed to present, time permitting, and will present on a first come, first served basis but the commission cannot guarantee that there will be enough time for drop-in presenters to make a formal presentation.

You don't have to make a presentation to attend. Everyone is welcome.

What do I need to do to prepare for the public hearing?
